Gotong Royong translates to ‘working together for a shared purpose’. This pop-up event is a culinary exploration of community care, brought to life through rice porridge—a dish shared across cultures as a symbol of nourishment and care. 

Nongkrong brings together chefs from different diasporas, each presenting their version of their culture’s rice porridge. 

Gotong Royong invites us to reflect on how food connects us and expresses care in times of need while sharing recipes of how we can look after one another.
