PARRAMATTA LANES

ERBY STAGE DARUG LAND FREE

KILAT (live)

Adinda | Cempaka (live) | Ingrid Fittler (live) | neko.ea

Pull up a seat, grab a snack, and stay a while. Parramatta Lanes is a four-day festival of music, food and art, transforming Parramatta’s streets and laneways into a colourful playground. On opening night, and for one night only, Nongkrong is taking over the Erby Stage at Erby Lane, in the heart of Parramatta Lanes.

Expect black metal, hypnotic techno, experimental electronics, bamboo flute and plenty of noise. Come early and stay for the whole thing.

KILAT is a raw black metal trio from Naarm / Melbourne featuring Karina Utomo, Rama Parwata and Benjamin Andrews. Formed in 2021 through a shared passion for extreme music and genre fusion, they arrive at Parramatta Lanes to launch their second album, Tirai Niskala, with noise-soaked black metal drawing on Nusantara and Javanese traditions.

Naarm-based, Indonesian-born DJ and multidisciplinary artist neko.ea moves between abstraction, beauty and distortion, weaving ritual, atonal soundscapes and hypnotic techno into an otherworldly DJ set.

Adinda brings bass, percussion and ambient sounds to the dance floor, joined for a special live collaboration by suling (bamboo flute) player Ingrid Fittler, a member of Sydney gamelan group Langen Suka.

Cempaka, a Naarm-based contemporary music project by neko, Om Will and Cam, brings traditional guitar from Kalimantan together with modular electronics, samples and poetry, moving between memory, experimentation, dissonance and ritual.
