Indonesian-Australians represent one of Australia's fastest-growing diaspora communities, yet authentic cultural programming beyond state-based, traditional representations seldom exists. Nongkrong fills this critical gap, building on the idea that being diaspora in the Australian context shapes identity, culture and practice and creating essential spaces where Indonesian-Australians can shape our own cultural narrative while fostering intercultural understanding through the arts.

That’s why we’ve partnered with Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) to raise funds and further our mission to nurture Australian-Indonesian community, food and art.
